Grounded in the metaphors inherent in working with felt, fibers, and clay I explore inner, remembered, or felt landscapes. I continually revisit places which are healing alongside experiences of loss and trauma, cultivating a balanced sense of self. When I am in nature I feel at peace; ultimately it’s all about finding home.

I primarily work using the wet felting technique - an 8,000 year old technique wherein raw fibers are layered, then using soap, water, and agitation the fibers become permanently entangled creating felt. With these works I'm adding inclusions of textiles and paper as well as ceramics. I am conscious of the felt sense, of my experience of the materials, and of the evolution of the felt work.
